Online Purchases and Transfers.
The cost is $30.00 per item (handgun, rifle, shotgun, or receiver) that you wish to receive via transfer. This includes the required ATF logging of each item, the ATF transfer paperwork and the FBI NICS background check.
If you would like to use my services to receive a firearm that was purchased over the internet (such as GunBroker.com), mail order, or by any other method, the procedure is simple. Once the firearm is paid for, simply contact us with the sellers information (if possible include name, address, phone number and email) and the item information (make, model, auction number, etc.) we will then contact the seller with our FFL information. The seller will then have the firearm shipped to us. When we receive it, we will verify the contents, record the transfer per ATF regulations, then give you a call to come and fill out the transfer paperwork and perform the FBI NICS background check.
If buying from BudsGunShop.com, they already have our information on file and "MNK FIREARMS LLC" just needs to be selected as the receiving FFL in the checkout process and the firearms will automatically come to me.
The cost is $30.00 for the first item (handgun, rifle, shotgun, or receiver) that you wish to send to another FFL, and $15 for each additional item that is transferred at the same time and going to the same FFL, plus $30 shipping and handling. This includes the required ATF logging of the transfer and it pays for packaging and shipping costs.
The process for purchasing a firearm online from us is quite simple and ensures that firearms do not get into the hands of under age and prohibited persons
1) Contact us after your purchase Via Email to ensure that the firearm is available and ready to ship.
2)Locate someone in your area who has their Federal Firearms License (FFL). Any gun shop, gunsmith, pawn shop, or gun range operates with an FFL and can help you out with your transaction. Or copy and paste www.fflgundealers.net in your browser and search for local FFL's near you.
4) Your chosen FFL Dealer will need to send a signed copy of their license by mail. They should Include a note stating your name and the item you have purchased from us.
5) Once we receive the FFL from the Dealer & the payment from you, we will ship the Firearm to your local FFL holder, along with a signed copy of our FFL.
6) Your local FFL holder will be responsible for performing your background check and adhering to any other state or local laws affiliated with firearms transactions. If unsure about regulations in your state, please consult your local FFL.
Remember, we can only ship a Firearm to someone who holds a Federal Firearm License.
You will need a current (non-expired) government issued photo ID (most commonly a driver’s license or concealed carry permit). If your driver’s license (or other government issued photo ID) does not have your current address listed, you will also need to provide a second government issued document showing your current address (such as a vehicle registration).
The FBI will give us a “Proceed”, “Denied”, or “Delayed”. If it is “Proceed” then you just pay your $30 transfer fee and you are on your way. The process takes about 10-15 minutes. If by chance you are denied, we are not given any reason, we are just instructed by the FBI to provide you with a transaction number and a phone number so that you can call and discuss the denial. If you are denied, per ATF regulations, we are unable to release the firearm to you. I will send it back to the seller and you will have to make arrangements for a refund. Generally, those denied have had a previous felony, drug charge, or domestic violence charge. If the transaction is “Delayed” then it can take up to 3 business days to get the “Proceed” or “Denied”. While waiting on a final response from the FBI, the firearm must remain in our possession.
If your NICS background check come back “Denied”, then you will be responsible for the $30 transfer fee as well as return shipping of the firearm(s) back to where it/they originated from; typically $60.00. Also keep in mind that returned firearms usually have a 15-25% restocking fee at the originator (check with your seller).
